Who you talk to
A lot of people think they will reach a big company with its own crews. In practice, you talk to an independent provider in our network. That is a local business that pours concrete for a living. Macmillaneducacioneverywhere Concrete makes the introduction, and then the provider takes it from there.
There are no staff profiles on this site. The people who matter to your project are the provider and you.
What happens on the first conversation
Expect a few simple things:
- The provider asks about your project, such as a new driveway, a stamped patio or other concrete flatwork
- You share rough size, the surface you have now, and what you hope for
- The provider may suggest a site visit before giving a written quote
Call hours vary by provider. If you want to know who is available, Request a callback to check provider availability.
What to ask an independent provider
Bring a short list. Good questions include:
- Who will be on site, and who is responsible for the job?
- How will you prepare the base and handle drainage?
- What do you do about frost, snowmelt and de-icing salts?
- Which licenses, insurance and permits apply, and can I see them?
- Is the quote in writing, and what does it include?
- What is the plan for cleanup and sealing?
For older homes with stone or block foundations, ask how the work will sit next to the structure.
You stay in control
You can talk to more than one provider. You can ask for another quote. You can say no. Compare, then decide. A good provider will explain the plan without rushing you.
